Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
The Monterey Peninsula’s love affair with world-class racing traces its beginnings to the inaugural running of the Pebble Beach Road Races in 1950. Those sports car events quickly outgrew the public roads and a beautiful new racing facility was born in 1957. Since then, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca has been visited by some of the most prestigious racers in history: Roger Penske, Dan Gurney, Parnelli Jones, and Valentino Rossi to name a few. The track’s 2.238 miles features 11 turns, including its legendary Corkscrew which is considered one of the motorsport world's most challenging set of turns due to the drop in elevation and blind crest. The raceway hosts five world-class race weekends each season, including the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix in July, the Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races in August, the Pacific Coast Motorsports Championship in September and the American Le Mans Series in October. Visit the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca located in Building B.
